Five years after the Dominion War, the Alpha Quadrant is a very different place. The United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire are becoming increasingly co-operative, Bajor is becoming a viable force in the Quadrant, Ferenginar is in the throes of social change, and Cardasia Prime is in a shambles

Amidst this flux of events, something is discovered on Cardasia Prime. This discovery, if proven true, could change the dynamics of the Alpha Quadrant, but of course, the road to discovery is never a smooth one. Can the crew of the Marakesh get to the bottom of this ancient mystery before a terrorist threat destroys the artefact and possible thy Marakesh itself!?

 The U.S.S. Magnus is yet to be commissioned.

At present, negotiations are taking place with the
Grand Nagus of Feringinar, Grand Nagus Rom. Shortly after taking office, Rom opened trade with the United Federation of Planets. Grand Nagus Rom wants to re-establish ties with the United Federation of Planets now that the Dominion War is finally over. The current negotiations are to do with a trade route from Ferenginar to Deep Space Station 387.

DS 387, commanded by Admiral Dughtry, is unsure if a trade route should be established with the Ferenghi. To them it would mean actually having Ferenghi staying on the station permanantly. The U.S.S. Phoenix's mission is to establish their trade route with the co-operation of Admiral Dughtry and DS 387.
